Audijev okoljski program 'Mission:Zero'

Pomanjkanje virov, onesnaževanje okolja in podnebne spremembe so veliki izzivi današnjega sveta. Pri Skupini Audi jih pomagamo reševati z razvijanjem trajnostnih izdelkov in inovativnih pogonskih tehnologij, pa tudi z zmanjševanjem okoljskega odtisa vozil že od faze proizvodnje naprej. To pomeni, da odgovorno ravnamo z naravnimi viri, kot sta energija in voda, ter preprečujemo izpuste ogljikovega dioksida, topil in odpadkov.

How many times have you sat stuck in unmoving, nose-to-tail traffic, wishing you could press a button on top of the gear lever, or just pull back on the steering wheel and send your car soaring over the top of all the others? It’s an impossible dream, of course. Or is it? Certainly, you wouldn’t expect any of the big car manufacturers to take the idea seriously. Yet at 2017´s Geneva Motor Show, a full-size model of something that looked every millimetre a flying car was unveiled. And right there on its nose was a four-ring Audi badge. The concept, titled Pop.Up Next, also bore branding from Italdesign and Airbus. It followed on from an earlier project, Pop.Up, shown by the Audi-owned Milan-based design and engineering company Italdesign at the same show in 2017.

The Pop.Up Next concept doesn’t herald a flying car per se, but a self-driving, self-flying, fully autonomous, electric-powered taxi. It’s designed to operate on a multi-mode principle. Two passengers sit in a capsule, which, for driving purposes, is attached to a four-wheel ground module that is also electric-powered and fully autonomous. For flight mode, the capsule is autonomously detached from the ground module, then attached to an eight-rotor air module or drone capable of vertical take-off.

Kako pri Audiju uresničujemo ogljično nevtralnost?

Do izpustov ogljikovega dioksida prihaja na različnih stopnjah proizvodnje vozil, med drugim tudi pri dobavi elektrike, ogrevanju in prevozih v tovarni.

Leta 2014 smo se kot prvi proizvajalec vozil prestižnega razreda odločili za izračun ogljičnega odtisa v skladu z mednarodno sprejetimi standardi. To je bil pomemben korak k zagotavljanju preglednosti podatkov o izpustih toplogrednih plinov na ravni celotnega podjetja. Danes lahko izpuste še natančneje analiziramo in učinkovito zmanjšamo.

Lep primer je Audijeva tovarna v Bruslju. Kot so potrdili neodvisni strokovnjaki, je tu proizvodnja popolnoma ogljično nevtralna. Bruseljska tovarna je na tem področju pionirka in zgled ostalim. Tukaj izdelujemo tudi prvi povsem električni avtomobil Audi e-tron, ki je ne le posebnega pomena za prihodnost podjetja, temveč tudi pomemben prispevek k uresničevanju strateškega cilja trajnosti.

The concept certainly appears cool and suitably futuristic, both from outside and inside the ultra-minimalist cabin. My details and my ‘journey’ have already been pre-registered on an app on my smartphone and, as I settle into the seat, I’m recognised and welcomed aboard by PIA, my speaking Personal Intelligent Assistant. The seats certainly feel comfortable, and, currently, there’s sufficient space behind them to hold a couple of small bags, although it’s possible the flying taxi will be smaller in size when it reaches production. The ‘dashboard’ in front of me is one large screen that incorporates augmented-reality technology and enables me to highlight icons simply by moving my eyes


By pressing on a small touchpad mounted between the seats, I can then choose the ambient-lighting theme I desire, and the type of music I wish to listen to through the speakers built into the headrests. Naturally, there is plenty of glass area to provide occupants with a fine view as they soar over the city, although the floor below my feet is not transparent – and deliberately so, as Nicolas points out: ‘We wanted to create an open environment that enables passengers to enjoy the experience, but we also wanted to ensure they felt safe and weren’t frightened.’

Od leta 2016 je Audijevi tovarni v Bruslju s prehodom na zeleno električno energijo uspelo količino izpustov CO2 zmanjšati za približno 17.000 ton letno – toliko, kot jih v enem letu ustvari približno 1.500 nemških državljanov.

Na streho Audijeve tovarne v Bruslju smo namestili največji fotovoltaični sistem v regiji, v velikosti približno dvanajst in pol nogometnih igrišč.

Naša bruseljska tovarna izpuste ogljikovega dioksida, ki nastanejo pri uporabi zemeljskega plina, izravnava z nakupom certifikatov za bioplin, s čimer prihranimo okoli 22.000 ton izpustov CO2 letno – približno toliko bi jih ustvarili, če bi se z modelom Audi A3 sedan 4.200-krat peljali okoli sveta.

Leta 2019 smo v bruseljski tovarni z nakupom certifikatov izravnali približno 5.350 ton izpustov CO2, ki se jim ne moremo izogniti z uporabo drugih virov energije. To je toliko, kot bi jih ustvarila križarka z 2.500 potniki v desetih dneh plutja.

Številni proizvodni obrati skupine Audi bistveno prispevajo k uresničevanju ekoloških ciljev podjetja. Tu je le nekaj primerov.

V Audijevi tovarni v Ingolstadtu uporabljamo membranski bioreaktor, inovativno napravo za čiščenje vode, s katero letno porabo čiste vode zmanjšamo za pol milijona kubičnih metrov. Odpadno vodo prečisti in jo ponovno vrne v proizvodni proces, prihranek vode pa je enak povprečni količini, ki jo letno porabi 11.000 nemških državljanov. Poleg tega je približno 70 odstotkov energetske oskrbe v tovarni že ogljično nevtralne.

Lakirnica v naši drugi osrednji nemški tovarni je zmanjšala izpuste topil za približno petdeset odstotkov. Odpadno vodo izpuščajo v bližnjo napravo za čiščenje odplak. Tam se topila, ki jih vsebuje, z anaerobnim razkrojem pretvorijo v metan, ki ga lahko kasneje uporabimo kot vir energije. Tako so v tovarni v Neckarsulmu leta 2017 zmanjšali emisije hlapnih organskih snovi za 250 ton.

V prvem četrtletju leta 2017 je naši mehiški tovarni uspelo reciklirati več kot 90 odstotkov oziroma skoraj 30.000 ton svojih odpadkov, vključno s kovinami. Toliko tehta šest polno naloženih tovornih vlakov. V drugem zelenem projektu so v okolici tovarne posadili 100.000 dreves in izkopali 25.000 jam. Te imajo več funkcij: bližnja drevesa oskrbujejo z vodo in vsako leto zberejo več kot 375.000 kubičnih metrov deževnice, ki nato po filtriranju pripomore k naravnemu obnavljanju podtalnice. Jame poleg tega tudi zmanjšujejo erozijo.

Popolnoma ogljično nevtralna geotermalna elektrarna, ki 2.400 metrov pod zemljo črpa vodo s temperaturo 100 stopinj Celzija, naši tovarni na Madžarskem priskrbi več kot 60 odstotkov toplotne energije. Z geotermalno energijo v madžarski tovarni vsako leto zmanjšajo količino izpustov CO2 za 23.000 ton – toliko, kot jih v enakem obdobju ustvari 3,600 Madžarov. Na Madžarskem letna količina izpustov CO2 na prebivalca v povprečju znaša 6,3 tone.

Ducati

Od leta 2016 za elektriko, ogrevanje in hlajenje Ducatijevega proizvodnega obrata v Bologni skrbi kogeneracijski sistem (sistem za soproizvodnjo električne in toplotne energije), ki zadosti približno 80 odstotkom potreb celotne tovarne. Samo v prvem letu so tako zmanjšali količino izpustov CO2 za več kot 2.000 ton – toliko, kot jih ustvari nekdo, ki 300-krat leti iz Münchna v Sydney in nazaj.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini od leta 2015 zmanjšuje količino nevarnih odpadkov z novo napravo za čiščenje izpiralne vode. Samo v letu 2017 so v tovarni Sant´Agata Bolognese zmanjšali količino odpadkov za približno 800 ton – toliko tehta 400 novih Audijev A8.

The air module currently rests on legs to make docking easier, but it’s envisaged that such legs would not be required by the time the concept reaches production.

To make the project with full-sized versions viable, more powerful batteries than those that exist today would be required, and Airbus is currently working on developing such technology. Noise is another issue, and reduction of the high-pitched whirring familiar to anyone who has witnessed even a small drone in flight is being sought. Italdesign is working with Audi to develop battery and electric-motor technology for the ground module – an area in which Audi’s engineers have already proven highly competent, as the recent launch of the e-tron SUV testifies. Therefor an Audi engineer is also based with the Italdesign team in Italy.

“Vsi postopki temeljijo na načelu učinkovitosti.”

Zelena električna energija

V tovarni v Bruslju že od leta 2012 uporabljamo zeleno električno energijo in vsako leto prihranimo do 17.000 ton izpustov ogljikovega dioksida. Leta 2013 smo na streho tovarne namestili največji fotovoltaični sistem v regiji. Leta 2017 smo tovarno razširili, na 89.000 kvadratnih metrih – to je velikost 12,5 nogometnih igrišč – proizvedemo dovolj zelene energije, da bi z njo lahko oskrbeli okoli 1.500 štiričlanskih gospodinjstev letno. Z nakupom certifikatov za bioplin poskrbimo, da je tudi ogrevanje tovarne ogljično nevtralno. Vse ostale izpuste, ki nastanejo zaradi goriva, kurilnega olja ali zgorevanja topil, pa izravnavamo s tako imenovanimi emisijskimi kuponi.

Poleg zmanjševanja količine izpustov ogljikovega dioksida okoljski odtis tovarne izboljšujemo tudi z drugimi ukrepi, na primer z varčevanjem z vodo in energijo ter zmanjševanjem izpustov okolju škodljivih snovi v zrak ali vodo.

Vsi postopki temeljijo na načelu učinkovitosti, kar vključuje tudi izogibanje materialom, ki škodujejo okolju, in najboljšo možno uporabo virov. Pri vsem tem pa si pomagamo z najsodobnejšo tehnologijo.
